featuring

Todd Milne & Dominick Hoff

The Falls [21st Anniversary Remasters]

Release Date: 2024-12-31 for Remasters; 2003 for the original versions

This album is a collection of songs that Logan released in his final year of his A.F.A. in Jazz and Commercial Music/Audio Engineering degree at the Spokane Falls Community College. These songs were released in the pre-social media days, so have now been remastered and added to music platforms so they can be more easily shared.

The first track is a classical arrangement from a solo album of Logan's called "Viking".  Tracks 2 and 3 are from the two-track release called "Abduction Therapy" that was a collaboration between Todd Milne and Logan at Todd's digital studio. Tracks 4-6 were from an album called "Project Lunar Eclipse" with Dominick Hoff on drums, and were recorded at the no longer existing Spokane Falls Community College music recording studio on tape and analog equipment.

03 - Abduction

First Solo Guitar/Backup Guitar/Mixing: Logan Callen
Second Solo Guitar/Backup Guitar/Mixing: Todd Milne

Originally released on the album Abduction Therapy

This experimental jazz song starts out with a UFO coming to Earth, and then it moves to a bedroom, when the first solo starts is the alien talking, and then there is a warping up into the mothership (easily noticeable [50 seconds]).  The alien tells the abductee some things followed by
"follow me" [54 seconds] and does a crazy teleport across the room thing [1:13 and 1:31](coincidence of numbers??? i think not, aliens know things) to scare the abductee, or so it seems, then the solo ends with an anal probing of the guy,  can you hear the alien saying [1:40]

"here lie down right here
I promise I won't even hurt you
you don't even know what this is about
I promise I won't ev-en hurt you
you don't even know what this is about
I promise that I will be so gentle and eas-y
just lie back and let me take care of the work it will be pleasing"
(probing commences)

The aliens then take his brain, while probing, and send him into a dream state where disturbing images of the occurrence are slowly removed, then the patient is put back into his bed and left with only residuals of his memory of the event as the aliens depart from Earth.

06 - Debu (Uh-Oh)

Guitars and Bass: Logan Callen
Percussion: Dominick Hoff
Mixing: SFCC Engineers
Mastering: Logan Callen

Originally released on the album Project Lunar Eclipse

Originally meant to have guitar solos through-out the song, this hard rock instrumental takes a 12-bar blues format and brutalizes it. Logan was originally scheduled to perform the solos in the studio for the song, but was sick the day the studio was booked. The song ended up being a good backing track for practicing solos, so was left in its rhythm-only format for others to jam to as well.
